Mountain Sunscape
This work was an experimental piece using a range of warm tones such as red, orange, yellow in conjunction with cooler one such as; blue and purple. I felt the best way to explore this was to create a wide composition where the lighting can display the difference.
Kanagawa Inspired Waves
This piece was initially a 10-20 minute study using the iconic 'The Great Wave of Kanagawa' by Katsushika Hokusai. The idea behind the experiment is to create the grounds of an artwork and to refine the piece later with a new mindset.
Checkered Cubes
This work was a combination of both 3D modelling software and a Graphics style. I chose to keep the piece as geometric as possible, so I decided to use a checkered ground pattern.
Delicate Flower
This piece had inspiration taken from a house plant. The idea was to simplify everyday forms of everyday objects to influence the artwork. Once flattened, I identified shapes which are highlighted with a range of colours.
